THE PROJECT

Custom outdoor sauna with covered entry porch by Hot Bird Saunas, sited among trees and stone in a Vermont forest environment.

Situated at the edge of the forest with a large window overlooking the Mad River Valley, this sauna is one of our favorites. A dedicated wood storage shed, cedar interior and benches, and a native flagstone hearth create a space that feels grounded and inviting. The structure’s posts and beams are locally sourced hemlock, chosen for its natural beauty and exceptional resistance to rot when exposed to the elements.
